Brightly Gleams Our Westward Way represents the beleaguered Latter-day Saints as they are forced to leave their beautiful City of Nauvoo, Illinois to head for the Rocky Mountains where “none can make them afraid”. Crossing the mighty Mississippi was the first challenge and even though the journey was long and hard they faced the future with joy and their faith in Jesus Christ.
